AQ Gourmet & Dine has named Derrick Lim the new Group Food & Beverage Director of the newly opened AQ Gourmet & Dine venture in Vietnam. Derrick will oversee all operations and business developments for the division which aim to set new standard for Japanese fine dining and gourmet shopping experience.
Derrick, a veteran of the food & beverage, and wine industries with a career spanning 20 years across Singapore, US and China. He worked for the Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Marriott International, IHG Hotels & Resorts, Kerry Wines, WineSpirit.net, Culina Pte Ltd prior joining the AQ Gourmet & Dine under Aquarius International group.
When describing what drives him in the F&B industry, Derrick states, “Everyday is a new day, what we do best yesterday is history, what we improve makes history for tomorrow, so everyday there are things we can improve and improvise”.
As for his goals for AQ Gourmet & Dine, Derrick explains, “to lead a dedicated team with a clear goal of satisfying the needs of the emerging Vietnamese market in this digital era by committing to deliver quality products and services in Ho Chi Minh as well as setting new definition of Japanese fine dining”.

By naming Mr. Derrick as Director, this is an important milestone of AQ Gourmet & Dine with an aim of becoming a reliable destination to explore and experience the diversity of Japanese food culture and the art of taste.
As planned , after launching in Ho Chi Minh City, AQ Gourmet & Dine will open other branches in Bangkok in March, and Shanghai in the 2nd quarter of 2021.
